Manager, Corporate Partnerships

We are hiring for a full-time job to join the External Affairs Team at Second Harvest Food Bank of 

Middle TN.


What you’ll do:

Manager, Corporate Partnerships advances the mission of Second Harvest Food Bank (SHFB) by creating 

and maintaining impactful, measurable, and engaging corporate partnerships. This position supports 

and fosters our deep commitment to diversity and inclusion, which is the foundation for creating a

Key Responsibilities:

Executes the strategy related to SHFB’s sponsorship programs, including identifying, cultivating, and developing leads and prospects, negotiating contracts and packages, closing deals, and providing account management.

Works with the Sr. Director of Corporate Engagement & Grants, colleagues, and staff, this role will identify and secure revenue generating opportunities with prospects across industries, foster revenue opportunities with existing donors and sponsors, and develop a multi-year strategy and planning goals to increase sponsorship and corporate partnership revenue for Second Harvest Food Bank:

Works across the organization to conceptualize and develop packages for sponsorship and execute revenue generating opportunities to drive incremental revenue for the organization.

Provides timely responses to prospects, and existing sponsor and partner requests, and work in a consultative manner with sponsors and partners to deepen a SHFB relationship and create annuity revenue and renewal opportunities for SHFB.


Other duties as assigned

When & Where: Typical day shift schedule of Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM to work primarily out of our distribution center in the MetroCenter area of Nashville, TN. Occasional evenings and/or weekends may be required for meetings or special events, as well as responding to issues, outside of normal working hours (e.g., disaster response, community events, etc.).

Is this you?

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree preferred.

Experience: 4+ years of fundraising and/or sales experience and/or training required. Non-profitexperience preferred.

Skills: Identify emerging trends to create opportunities. Set priorities wisely, multitask, and dynamically solve complex problems. Build trust internally and externally and command a professional image. Develop strategic, proactive relationships with potential sponsors and corporate partners, and other supporters of the philanthropic community.

Other requirements: our pre-hire process requires acceptable results from the following: professional reference feedback, criminal background, Motor Vehicle Record and a pre-employment drug test. Current Driver’s License and automobile insurance are also required. Criminal backgrounds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis considering several factors (timing, frequency, severity and job relation).

Compensation & Benefits: Second Harvest is proud to offer rich and affordable total compensation packages. Total compensation for full-time employment includes many benefits, in addition to base pay.
