CEO Brief- ?
We just wrapped an end of week meeting regarding
TASTE
. We were onsite at
Oz Arts Nashville
where TASTE is coming to you in two weeks! The venue is amazing and we are so excited to have all our members and supporters in this space. All the details are coming together thanks to our incredible committee.
Thank you
to all involved, especially Lauren for all her hard work on this while I am working on other Chamber things. I could not do this without her.
We need your help.
We are in need of
silent auction items
and we can still take a few more vendors. We also need you to buy your tickets! You don't want to miss this event and we need your support so we can keep doing what we do.
Take a look below at everything we are working on. We started and ended the week talking about diversity and inclusion. This is a huge part of what we work on as it has become a key part of business today. People are choosing where to work and give their time to the companies that accept them wholly and allow and support them to bring their full selves to the workplace. This is so important to attracting and retaining talent. The more I do this work, I think our member Amazon has it right when they call it inclusion and diversity. Inclusion will breed and grow diversity and without it, you will never retain the diversity you are working for. I hope you can tell
we love this work
, let us know how we can help you take full advantage of this, no matter what type of member you are (individual, small biz, or corporate), it affects you.

The 2019 Workforce Diversity Bus Tour was a huge success. We led a panel discussion on LGBT diversity in the workplace at Plaza Mariachi with Elizabeth Stanton from
Diversity Builder
and Ashlee Davis from
AllianceBernstein
.
Participants said the entire day was inspiring and educational. This was the 4th bus tour we have been a part of, talking about LGBT diversity in the workplace and how to support LGBT employees.
Thanks to all the incredible members and supporters that helped organize and put on the bus tour!

We so enjoyed talking about diversity and inclusion at our member
Vanderbilt University Owen School of Management
's Diversity Symposium. We helped plan this event and Owen opened it to all of our members to come, even though the primary audience was potential new students.
We were so proud to see our member and LGBT owned and certified business
STF Events & Catering
doing all the delicious food!
