Classroom Connect April: Transgender Inclusion

Description

The Transgender Inclusion Classroom Connect session will educate & empower you to create welcoming & affirming environments for transgender employees and customers. Topics to be discussed include trans-affirming terminology, challenges the trans community is currently facing in the country/state/workplace, and trans healthcare coverage. There will also be perspective-building exercises to build empathy and dedicated Q&A time for you to ask questions. 

The session will be led by LGBT Chamber Board Member Jake Martino. Jake is a trans man who works for Bridgestone as Director of Product Innovation & Customer Insights. Outside of work, Jake supports the community as Co-Chair of PFLAG Nashville, co-leader of a monthly transgender adult support group, and as a speaker providing Transgender Inclusion trainings for companies & schools across the US.
