Elevating the LGBTQ+ Women's Business Community (WBENC National Conference)

The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is gearing up for the 2023 WBENC National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, and we are excited to share an opportunity to join the conversation. WBENC Women & Pride is an outreach and development program designed to support and strengthen the community of LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and corporate professionals within and beyond the WBENC network. Taking place on Monday, March 20, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Women & Pride will host its very first community outreach event, Elevating the LGBTQ+ Women's Business Community at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

The first half of the session, How to Innovate in an Uncertain Economy, will feature an engaging fireside chat and panel discussion with prominent LGBTQ+ leaders including board members from the Tennessee Pride Chamber, business owners, corporate professionals, and thought leaders from the local Nashville LGBTQ+ community. Continuing with our National Conference theme of Momentum, we’ll explore how small, diverse businesses can innovate in a shifting economy. 

Directly following the panel discussion, we encourage individuals, small businesses, and corporate professionals to join us as we elevate LGBTQ+ business owners in an interactive WBE Showcase & Community Celebration. WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprises who identify as LGBTQ+ will be invited to showcase their services and products during this time. Coinciding with the WBE Showcase, we’ve invited local LGBTQ+ business owners and creatives to elevate queer visibility in the south.

Additionally, WBENC invites all who are interested to join any additional Monday Pre-Conference Programming such as the Women of Color: How to Monetize Your Network session, as well as the Joint Session Keynote Speaker taking place from 5:00 PM – 5:45 PM, followed by a Pre-Conference Reception starting at 6:00 PM.
