Description

Does your business or organization have questions about recent legislation and its potential impact on LGBTQ+ professionals and owned and allied businesses? Want to know how businesses can make a difference with recent legislative bills? 

Join the Tennessee Pride Chamber and MidSouth LGBT Chamber as we host advocates and lobbyist from TNPC, HRC, and OUTMemphis to learn about bills that could impact Tennessee’s LGBTQ+ owned and allied businesses and ways businesses can leverage their collective voices to affect legislation.


Meet the panelists!


      Dr. Bryson McGuire (he/him) – Assistant Principal at Metro Nashville Public Schools

                       

Tom Lee (he/him) – Tom focuses in the practice areas of government relations and public-facing litigation. With over 40 years’ experience as an Emmy award-winning journalist, political strategist, lobbyist, and attorney, Tom is especially adept when conflict resolution requires awareness of policy, politics, and the press.

 

Molly Quinn (she/her) – Molly has served as executive director of OUTMemphis since 2019. OUTMemphis, founded in 1989, is the LGBTQ+ community center for the Mid-South, and is proud to be the longest-running and largest LGBTQ+ organization in Tennessee. In addition to supporting policy and advocacy initiatives, OUTMemphis is home to a wide range of social service programs, including housing, food and nutrition, mental health, sexual health, and healthcare navigation services. In 2022, OUTMemphis opened its Youth Empowerment Center, a transitional shelter for LGBTQ+ youth.

 

Molly Whitehorn (she/her) – Molly is the Associate Regional Campaign Director at Human Rights Campaign. They develop and execute campaign plans, plan and supervise communications and field campaigns, and establish partnerships for electoral work.

With a diverse and extensive history in LGBTQ+ advocacy work, Molly specializes in campaign management, grassroots organizing, relationship-building, legal support, and event planning.

 

Joseph Woodson (he/him) – Joseph Woodson provides Government Relations and Consulting services as Founder & Principal of Woodson Results, LLC. He also serves as Executive Director of the Nashville Business Coalition. From 2016-2020, Joseph served as liaison to the Metro Council and senior legislative advisor under two Metro Nashville mayoral administrations. Prior to serving in the mayor’s office, Joseph oversaw government relations for the Office of the Tennessee Comptroller.
