Director of Corporate Support and Partnerships
The Director of Corporate Support and Partnerships at Nashville Repertory Theatre (Nashville Rep) will be responsible for securing funding through corporate partnerships, sponsorships, institutional giving, and in-kind contributions to support our mission. This is a dynamic role within the Development Team, ideal for a professional with experience in nonprofit fundraising, corporate relations, or partnership development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships: Develop and manage relationships with corporate partners, identifying new sponsorship opportunities for Nashville Rep’s productions, events, and programs.
- Institutional Giving: Lead outreach efforts to secure institutional funding from foundations, governmental agencies, and other entities. Work with team members to prepare proposals and grant applications, monitor grant compliance, and coordinate reporting requirements.
- In-Kind Contributions: Solicit in-kind donations to support production and operational needs, ensuring the fulfillment of benefit arrangements with donors.
- Relationship Stewardship: Engage with current and potential corporate and institutional supporters, keeping them informed about Nashville Rep's impact, performances, and programs. Coordinate regular updates and reports to keep partners invested in Nashville Rep’s growth.
- Strategic Development: Collaborate with the Development Team and Executive Director to identify and prioritize potential funding sources, ensuring alignment with Nashville Rep’s strategic goals. Assist in creating strategies to engage businesses and organizations.
- Event Support: Collaborate in the planning and execution of corporate and donor events, with responsibilities that may include sponsorship acknowledgment, partner activation, and event follow-up.
Desired Qualifications:
- Fundraising and Sales Experience: Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, sales, or corporate relations, with an understanding of partnership strategies, proposal writing, and account management.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to craft compelling narratives for funding proposals and maintain effective communication with corporate and institutional partners.
- Proficiency in Donor Management Software: Familiarity with or ability to learn platforms like Tessitura, iWave, and OneCause for prospecting and partnership management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Skilled in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Office applications to manage documentation and reporting.
- Highly Organized and Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple relationships, deadlines, and partner needs simultaneously.
Additional Requirements:
- Proactivity and Flexibility: Must be proactive and willing to work some nights and weekends for events.
- Team Collaboration: Works closely with the Development Team and across departments to support Nashville Rep’s organizational goals.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: The starting salary is $60,000 annually, negotiable based on experience.
