Hours: 15 hours per week

We are an exciting ecommerce marketplace start-up that caters to the LGBTQ+ community in the United States. Our platform aims to provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals to discover, connect, and support LGBTQ+-owned businesses. We believe in fostering diversity, promoting equality, and empowering small businesses within the community. With a focus on growth and engagement, we are looking for a skilled Social Media Content Creator and Manager to help us establish a strong presence on Instagram and YouTube.


Job Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation: Develop compelling and visually appealing social media content for our Instagram and YouTube channels. Create engaging posts, stories, videos, and other forms of multimedia content to showcase our brand, products, and services.


2. Content Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with our brand values and target audience. Generate innovative ideas to drive engagement, increase followers, and encourage user-generated content.


3. Community Management: Interact and engage with our social media community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Foster a positive and inclusive online environment by promoting respectful and meaningful discussions.


4. Social Media Planning: Plan and schedule social media posts in advance using appropriate tools and platforms. Ensure a consistent posting schedule, considering optimal timing, frequency, and content types.


5. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor social media analytics to track performance, identify trends, and measure the success of various campaigns. Prepare regular reports on key metrics, including reach, engagement, and conversion rates.


6. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, align content with marketing initiatives, and support cross-channel campaigns. Coordinate with influencers and brand ambassadors to create collaborative content and expand our reach.


7. Stay Updated: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, algorithms, tools, and best practices. Continuously research and explore new opportunities for growth, engagement, and innovative content formats.


Requirements:

1. Experience: Demonstrated experience in social media content creation and management, preferably within the LGBTQ+ community or related industries. Experience working with Instagram and YouTube is essential.


2. Creativity: Strong creative skills with the ability to develop visually appealing and engaging content. Proficiency in graphic design, video editing, and photography is a plus.


3. Brand Alignment: Understanding of LGBTQ+ culture, issues, and trends. Ability to align content with our brand values and effectively communicate our mission to the target audience.


4. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to craft compelling captions, engage with followers, and maintain a professional online presence.


5. Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to plan, schedule, and prioritize social media activities effectively.


6. Analytical Skills: Proficient in using social media analytics tools to track performance and derive insights. Ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to optimize content strategy.


7. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines. Comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment.


Location:

Nashville area preferred, but remote options are available. Remote applicants must be able to maintain regular communication and adhere to the agreed-upon schedule.
