2024 Parthenon and Centennial Park Events Intern (PAID)
Centennial Park Conservancy is seeking a qualified self-motivated individual for an Event Management internship.. Interns gain first-hand experience while working side-by-side with Centennial Park Conservancy staff at the Parthenon and donor engagement events. Interns take on a wide variety of responsibilities including event planning, merchandising, sales, research, and more. We strive to give all of our interns the best possible learning experience and build internships around their specific skills and interests. Applicants must have a deep appreciation for events and a great work ethic.
Preferred applicants for the Event Management internship will have experience in event and venue management, client relations, and event sales.
Qualifications:
Must live in the Greater Nashville Area for the duration of the internship
Must be available one day per week for office time in addition to event days (various weekend dates through the duration of the internship)
Must at least be in Sophomore year of college
College credit is preferred, but not required
Duties and Responsibilities:
Internships offered by Centennial Park Conservancy are paid. All student interns will be eligible to receive college credit. Internship duties may include but are not limited to the following areas:
● Aid in event load-in and load-out of live events
● Assist with documenting client communications
● Attend client tours of the event space
● Prepare for each week’s event according to a specific team role
● Frequently manage customer facing side of events
● Opportunity to learn event planning skills from CPC staff
*Note: Interns must be able to lift a minimum of (25) pounds and perform limited manual labor on event days
