About

Located on Broadway in the city's historic main post office building, the Frist Art Museum is a major cultural hub in the region. The Frist opened in April 2001 (as the Frist Center for the Visual Arts), and since then has hosted a spectacular array of art from the region, the country, and around the world. Unlike any traditional museum youĆ¢??ve ever visited, the Frist Center is magnet for NashvilleĆ¢??s rapidly expanding visual arts scene. With an exhibitions schedule that has new art flowing through the magnificent Art Deco building every 6 to 8 weeks, no matter how often you visit, there is always something new and exciting to see in the spacious galleries. The Frist is open 7 days a week and is open until 9:00 p.m. Thur. and Fri. evenings. Admission is free for Frist Center Members visitors 18 and younger.
