Connecting you to the Nashville Tornado Recovery

Economic Chamber News Release

As many of you know, in the early hours of Tuesday, March 3rd, an F3 tornado tore across the city of Nashville and continued on through Middle Tennessee.

We know of several members that have lost their entire business. Many more have been damaged or are closed, due to the area of town they are in. We are working to connect them to the help that they need. If your business has been affected please let us know, we will be sharing a list of affected member businesses on Friday and ways you can support them.

We know of many more LGBT and allied individuals that have lost their homes and everything they owned. We are working to connect them to resources, manpower for cleanup, and shelter. Even more are without power or in compromised areas and they need assistance as well.

We at the Nashville LGBT Chamber have been doing what we are known for, connecting.

We have connected those affected to the help that is out there. We have connected our corporate members to the need so they can help give back in many ways. We have connected community partners to each other, so we can all work together to build back Nashville by combining resources and energy. This is the Nashville way. We have done it once and will do it again.

People want to help. We have been contacted by so many members and followers on how to give back. National and statewide partners and friends, the NGLCC (National LGBT Chamber) and almost all the other affiliate LGBT chambers of commerce across the country have reached out to see how they can help as well. The outpouring of support is moving and we are so thankful.

We want to continue to connect by giving you ways you can help out in the recovery.

WE ARE NASHVILLE.

VISITORS AND TOURISTS

Our friends and partners at the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation have created and incredible site for those visiting. We are open and all are welcome!

For visitors and tourists with upcoming plans to visit Nashville, click here for updates and closure notices.

We need you to come! Enjoy the parts of the city that are not affected. Keep the Music Playing.

If you are overwhelmed by the need, best advice is to pick one thing -- an item, event, etc. -- and go all-in there.

If you feel tired or upset, take a step back and allow yourself space to recover. This effort will take a long time and require many hands and talents.

We have this. We will rebuild stronger than ever. We Believe in NASHVILLE.

We share with you Joe's social post from the other night-

This pic will sum up the tornado tonight. You can hit us, damage us, but the spirit of Nashville survives. We will come together and rebuild, just like we did 10 years ago with the flood. I love this city. #ibelieveinnashville #nashvillestrong #nashvilletornado #spiritofnashville
