HAMPTON HOUSE COUNSELING AND HEALING IN THE MARGINS CELEBRATE NEW SPACE WITH RAINBOW RIBBON CUTTING

NASHVILLE, TN – Hampton House Counseling and non-profit Healing in the Margins held a rainbow ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its new, expansive location in Nashville.

The Tennessee Pride Chamber of Commerce facilitated the ribbon-cutting with the clinic’s staff, family, and supporters in attendance. The event included a tour of the new space, followed by their Day of Healing which offered several free healing services to attendees.

“We are so excited to have this new space for our community to come together and heal,” said Director of Operations, Beth Hampton.

The new space houses both a counseling center and its partner non-profit. Hampton House Counseling is Nashville’s first BIPOC and Queer-owned counseling center where every clinician identifies as either BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ and/or neurodivergent. Founders Ashley and Beth Hampton also lead Hampton House’s partner nonprofit Healing in the Margins, an organization dedicated to creating change and access in mental health spaces.

Hampton House provides safe and representative care for everyone -- especially LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent individuals, couples, and families as they navigate a variety of issues. To also spread much-needed education and access for these populations, Healing in the Margins provides educational and community-building support for therapists who are BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+, provides access to safe and competent therapy services for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients, and promotes and facilitates community-wide understanding in areas of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ mental health competency.

We sincerely hope that Hampton House can be a home for healing for folks who have historically never had safety in mental health spaces,” said founder and Executive Director Ashley Hampton.

Features of the new space include:

  • A central location in South Nashville located on many major bus lines.

  • An All-Gender bathroom

  • A group space to hold community healing events

  • A space created and offices furnished with our BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ community in mind.
