The response to Covid-19 is indeed novel, new and historic. None of us has lived through extended periods where the world seemingly shuts down or really practices widespread social distancing. We cannot predict with 100% accuracy what outcomes will be for our team.
That said, we have managed through serious crises before. CST partner Robert Wilson served as D&I Director at Nissan when the 2011 earthquake and tsunami took so many lives, impacted business production, and set off a chain of environmental issues. Partners Marcela Gomez and Ann Gillespie soloed as entrepreneurs through 9/11 and the downturn in 2008. Our partners know lessons will be learned and hard decisions may have to be made. Certain ways of life and thinking will end, others will emerge.
Here's what we know with certainty. Our focus is on supporting the ecosystem. We need to stay vigilant about the health and well-being of our team, our clients, all of our families, our friends and colleagues. Please reach out to us with any questions you may have during this time.
One of our CST team members Pilar shared this with us earlier this year, "not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path."
Looking forward to the time when the pandemic has passed and our new ways of life and thinking emerge. In the meantime, let’s stay connected.
With an elbow bump and a flash of the peace sign,
All of us at Culture Shift Team
