Nashville LGBT Chamber Celebrates BentoLiving’s New Restaurant
The Hart with Rainbow Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Nashville, TN - December 8, 2021 - The Nashville LGBT Chamber held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, December 8th to celebrate the opening of The HartBentoLiving Hotel’s tropical restaurant and bar concept from Hawaiian native Justin Koziol.

The Hart is a morning-to-night restaurant and bar where neighbors can snack, dine, meet, and lounge alongside BentoLiving guests who want a splash of neighborhood in their Nashville. The Hart brings the Pacific Rim to the American South, featuring the freshest local ingredients and international takes on traditional dishes. Everything is made to be enjoyed at your own pace, in whatever order you choose.

“When developing Bento Living Chestnut Hill we wanted to create a project that would bring  forward the existing character of the neighborhood,” says Justin Koziol, BentoLiving’s Chief Operating Officer. “We selected an unused site to avoid displacing residents or any existing businesses. The highly visible site is on a major thoroughfare overlooking much of the neighborhood. Therefore we created a design that matched the vernacular of the neighborhood; we chose to build out of structural steel with exposed concrete floors and large open windows. We utilized an automated parking structure to separate the parking from the building which allowed us to create ground floor retail units. Our under 300 square foot retail units are available for flexible gross lease and provide an affordable solution for startup retail companies, creating a startup retail corridor which fits with the existing maker culture of the neighborhood.”

“We are so excited about The Hart’s new membership with the Chamber and being able to cut a rainbow ribbon to open this inclusive and welcoming to all space.” says Chamber CEO, Joe Woolley.  “We can’t wait to hear what the community has to say when they see this incredible space, the addition of this business makes the neighborhood and the city as a whole more unique and inclusive.”

“I love the sense of community food offers to the world,” says Michael Gibson, The Hart’s Executive Chef. “Every culture has a chicken soup. The people who make it are just as important as the ingredients.”

Stop by The Hart at 321 Hart Street Tuesday - Thursday 5-10 pm or Friday-Saturday 5-11 pm. After the first of the year, The Hart will add a lunch service from 11 am - 4 pm. You can find The Hart’s menu here.
