“PRIDE IN LOCAL MUSIC” TO PREMIERE ON FRIDAY, JUNE 26

A ONE-NIGHT-ONLY LIVESTREAM EVENT FROM AUSTIN & NASHVILLE

SUPPORTING LGBTQ+ ARTISTS

AUSTIN, TX and NASHVILLE, TN (June 10th, 2020) – The Austin and Nashville LGBT Chambers of Commerce are joining forces to bring you “Pride in Local Music” presented by Dell Technologies, a one-night-only livestream event celebrating music, the rainbow heartbeat of two great cities known for music. This dynamic experience to celebrate Pride month will be held on Friday, June 26th at 6:00 PM CST at PrideInLocalMusic.org and on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

“Parades and festivals might have been canceled but you can’t cancel the spirit of Pride that the LGBTQ+ community shares every June.  With fewer performing opportunities, we wanted to find a way to support the LGBTQ+ artists who are the cultural heartbeat of each of our cities,’ said Joe Woolley, CEO of the Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

The evening will raise funds for LGBTQ+ artists in both Austin through the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians and Nashville through the Music Health Alliance

“LGBTQ+ business leaders coming together to support the LGBTQ+ community is what our Chambers were created to do.” Added Tina Cannon, Executive Director of the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, “Working together, we’re going to combine the talent of two of the greatest musical communities in the world to produce an amazing live show that directly supports LGBTQ+ artists.”

The entire event is made possible by generous support from the presenting sponsor Dell Technologies, Tito's Vodka, and Visit Austin and Visit Music City. The festival is being produced by Good Neighbor Festivals and Louie Carr from Own Path Media Group.
