John Bennett is from Ila, GA and moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University for a degree in Finance. After spending time in the music industry, he began a career in banking. For the last 25 years, he has worked with hundreds of successful business owners. He was the Market President of First Citizens Bank, Tennessee Market President of Republic Bank, and currently serves as the President of Renasant Bank for Nashville and Davidson County. John serves as the Chairman of the Business Advisory Board at Nashville State Community College, is a member of the McGavock Coalition, the Donelson-Hermitage Chamber of Commerce (Past President) and is a lifetime member of the Country Music Association.
John enjoys sharing the wisdom he has learned from all his years of working with successful business owners. He released a new book in August of 2021 entitled “Build It Right: Wisdom for Business Owners and Those Who Want to Be”. “Build It Right” is available for purchase online through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Target.
