The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many areas of our lives. Wearing masks, distancing ourselves from others and increased cleaning have become the norm as we try to keep each other safe. With the approval by the FDA of two vaccines – Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna – there seems to finally be light at the end of a long tunnel. The approval of these vaccines comes with much hope and optimism but the task of distributing the vaccinations may be more of a battle than we realize.

Join us on February 16 for a conversation that will discuss the challenges and opportunities Nashville faces as we combat COVID-19 and begin vaccinating individuals across the country.

Speakers:

James E.K. Hildreth, Ph.D., M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, Meharry Medical College; Member, Metro Public Health Department COVID-19 Taskforce

Alex Jahangir, M.D., MMHC; Chair, Metro Public Health Department COVID-19 Taskforce; Chair, Metro Public Health Department; Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery; Director, Division of Orthopaedic Trauma at Vanderbilt University Medical Center; and Executive Medical Director of Vanderbilt Center for Trauma, Burn and Emergency Surgery

The discussion will be moderated by Hayley Hovious, M.B.A., President, Nashville Health Care Council.

This is a complimentary event to attend but pre-registration is required.

Details to join the Zoom event will be sent in advance.
